Samsung Galaxy S2 to debut at MWC 2011, specs leaked

According to Korean newspapers, Nocut news, Samsung is likely to unveil the new Samsung Galaxy S2 (formerly codenamed Seine) at next month's Mobile World Congress 2011 in Barcelona, Spain.

Samsung's recent launch of their "Evolution is FATE" campaign shows the Galaxy S and an unknown device that is scheduled for Barcelona on 13 February. This suggests that it is likely to be the successor to the popular Galaxy S.

From online sources, the new phone could be the Samsung Galaxy S2. It boasts to be a huge improvement compared to its sibling, and will be the company's new high-end flagship smartphone for this year.

Codenamed Samsung Seine, the Galaxy S2 will incorporate Samsung Orion 1GHz dual core processor, 1GB RAM, 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen display (800x480), 8-megapixel camera and a slim form factor of about 9mm. The smartphone will also run Android 2.3 Gingerbread mobile operating system and supports Near Field Communication (NFC).
