Samsung introduces MultiView MV800 compact camera with flip-out touch display

Flip-out display on a digital camera for user to capture pictures even in an awkward angle, isn't a new feature, However, Samsung has implemented the flip-out touch display (including some of the buttons) on the their new MultiView MV800 compact camera.

Samsung has unveiled their new ultra slim and stylish MultiView MV800 camera that features enhanced picture quality and touch screen technology. The MultiView MV800 builds on the success of Samsung’s dual screen technology and is the first premium compact model to feature a 3-inch wide flip-out touch display for flexibility, enjoyment and creativity. You can snap a high-angle shot over the crowd or low-angle shot on the ground to effortlessly frame and capture  pictures. For self-portraits, simply spin the display around. In terms of specifications, the MV800 features an 16.1-megapixels sensor and 5x optical and 26mm wide-angle zoom lens that can shoot superior quality images.
 
With the Live Panorama function, you can take photos of large groups or panoramic view by holding the camera shutter button, and then preview the entire scene on the LCD touch display. Other features include the Smart Touch 3.0 with Wallpaper user interface that allows user to drag and scroll through menu options to launch the required feature intuitively with just a touch; Magic Frame feature with 12 fun background templates; and Funny Face feature that lets you bend, stretch and manipulate portraits by tapping and dragging to radically distort facial characteristics.

Available in black, white and red, the Samsung MultiView MV800 is retailing at an attractive S$499.
