Samsung Mobile Unpacked in Barcelona

The Samsung Mobile Unpacked event was held at the Convention Centre Gran Via, Fira Barcelona, which is quite a remote place. Interestingly, last year’s Samsung Unpacked event was also quite remote, at Changi Exhibition Centre.

JK Shin, President and Head of mobile Communications Business for Samsung, started the event with a welcoming speech and talked about the mobile industry in 2010 and the company’s vision and commitment to the democratism for the smartphone era. “These are the three main parts of Samsung strategy as our roadmap to future subject – Innovation, Support and Openess. Together they create a new mobile eco-system. Our eco-system is different from others as its more future-oriented. Its an eco-system that will help make the mobile world more sociable, more far-reaching and more democratic.”

Next, the Korean manufacturer unveiled their new flagship phone, the Samsung Wave.

Thomas Richter, Director of Portfolio Management, Samsung Telecommunication Europe, gave a brief presentation of the features of the Samsung Wave. The phone uses Bada platform and comes with Super AMOLED display, improved TouchWiz 3.0 user interface, and 1GHz processor for better performance.
