Finally, Samsung unveiled the miniature version – Galaxy S4 mini—of its flagship smartphone at the London Premiere 2013 event.
Samsung has launched the much expected Galaxy S4 mini along with some new colors for its flagship smartphone, Galaxy S4. Samsung’s Galaxy S4 Mini is powered by Snapdragon 400 dual-core 1.7 GHz processor, 1.5 GB RAM, 4.3-inch qHD AMOLED display, 8 MP rear camera, 1.9 MP front camera, 8 GB internal storage with a microSD card slot, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with TouchWiz UI and a 1900 mAh battery. The device is available in two colors, black and white. The specifications looked quite similar to what we reported a few days back.
If you are a Galaxy S4 user, you may not be able to move to the miniature version of it as the qHD AMOLED display does not stand up against its big brother. Moving from 1080p resolution to 960 x 540 may not be the best user experience. Unlike last year’s Galaxy S3 mini, it looks like the Korean giant managed to find a middle ground in terms of specifications of the device. Personally, I think that Galaxy S4 Mini can be a good option if you are looking for a smaller version of Galaxy S4.
The company has not yet released any specific details about the pricing and availability of the device, but it is expected to hit the shelves in UK this July. Will you buy Samsung Galaxy S4 mini? We’d love to hear about your opinion in the comments below!
