Samsung Wave, The First Bada Phone, Arrives

It was in Februrary at the Mobile World Congress where Korean manufacturer Samsung announced their new smartphone, the Samsung Wave, which claims to be the first smartphone to incorporate the open Bada platform. And now its finally here.

Today, Samsung announced the availability of the Samsung Wave in European countries, including Germany, France and the UK. The Samsung Wave boasts to be the first smartphone based on the new, open Bada platform, and the manufacturer is also actively building the ecosystem which include the apps for Bada.

According to Samsung, the apps will be available in 80 countries when the Samsung Wave launches. After Europe, the Samsung Wave will soon be available in Southeast Asia, China, the Middle East and Africa, and Latin America.

Pricing information not revealed.
