Samsung’s 2009 AV and Digital Imaging Roadshow
Singapore, 23 April 2009 – Samsung has launched its first full line of LED Full HD TVs, and unveiled a comprehensive range of more than 50 audio-visual and digital imaging products designed to deliver richer and more exciting digital experiences for consumers at Samsung’s 2009 AV and Digital Imaging Roadshow.
Samsung’s range of LED Full HD TVs incorporates cutting edge display technologies, innovative design and environmentally friendly features. A key feature is Mega Contrast technology, which intelligently controls the LED’s brightness levels to produce authentic blacks with the backlights generating the richest and most vivid colors that are crystal clear without any blurring. The use of LED technology also enables Samsung’s LED Full HD TVs to be 70 per cent slimmer and allows energy savings of over 40 per cent compared to the power consumed by conventional LCD TVs.
Samsung’s range of audio-visual products showcased at the roadshow includes:
LED Full HD TVs:
Samsung’s B8000 LED TV boasts a frame rate of 200Hz – six times the frame rate of other TVs – to nearly eliminate the ill effects of displaying quick, action-packed motion, while the B7000 LED TV incorporates Medi@2.0 that gives users fast and easy access to a range of pre-loaded, downloadable content and information, including Content Library Flash and Wireless DLNA compatibility. The line-up also includes the B6000 LED TV which offers mega contrast ratios, a full, natural range of colors and crystal-clear detail in a slim package at just 29.9mm thin. The models will be introduced in Singapore from end-April 2009.
Samsung’s LCD HDTVs incorporate advancements in black levels, color reproduction and motion quality to create clear and vibrant images. The B750 Full HD LCD TV includes a 200Hz refresh rate, improved Ultra Clear Panel and Wide Color Enhancer 3 technology, while the B650 Full HD LCD TV packs Samsung’s proprietary Auto Motion Plus™ frame-interpolation technology to produce razor sharp images even with fast-paced motion in action scenes. Completing the line-up are the B550 and B450 HD LCD TVs featuring new Digital High Contrast technology to produce deeper blacks for a more polished picture quality. The models will be introduced in Singapore from end-April 2009.
B850 Full HD Plasma TV is the world’s slimmest 1080p resolution plasma set to feature built-in DVB-T tuners. The 2009 CES Award Honoree for “Ultra-Slim Plasma HDTV with the World’s Best Bright Room Contrast Ratio” will be introduced in Singapore in May 2009.
