The first thing one notices when looking at the Sapphire Radeon
9800 XT Ultimate Edition is of course its massive heatsink. The card will run
in ideal situations without the bundled 80mm fan in ideal situations, but because
of the card’s high thermal yield, it is recommended to attach the 80mm fan to
keep everything a little cooler.

As we turn the card around, you can see the other heatsink and
ramsinks attached to the card’s PCB.

Here we get a better look at the heatpipe that transfers the heat
from the top heatsink to the one on the card’s rear.

As with every Radeon 9800XT and most of the high end graphics
cards out on the market, the Sapphire Radeon 9800XT Ultimate Edition has a four
pin Molex power connector on its backside.

The optional 80mm fan included with the Sapphire Radeon 9800XT
Ultimate Edition is made by Zalman and comes attached to a Sapphire branded
fan guard.

And as usual the card has VGA, S-Video, and DVI outputs.
