DirectX 9.0b was handled with ease by the 6600GT on a large part due to it’s higher memory clockspeed. With fillrate intensive tests in the newer DirectX9.0c based 3DMark06, the X1600Pro takes the lead.

Naturally, the X1600Pro is slightly more relevant in today’s games due to the extensive use of the DirectX9.0c API. It sure would have been better if the X1600Pro had a little higher memory clock.
