Apple is already expected to unveil two new iPhones on September 10th. A new report hints at the possibility of the company launching iPad 5 and iPad mini 2 at the same event alongside the rumored launch of iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S.
It was a few weeks ago when the first rumor about a September 10th launch event came up. For the first time ever Apple is expected to release two new iPhones at one event, the company hasn’t done that before. The new iPads were previously expected to be launched in the fourth quarter of 2014, though this latest Bloomberg report hints at the possibility of Apple launch new versions of its tablet and smartphone together next month.
The report actually mentions this possibility in passing, it is actually about Apple’s plans to open up a new retail store in Tokyo. If Apple really ends up doing this it would be breaking away from tradition. The company has always unveiled new versions of its tablet and smartphone at separate events, at separate times. This would mean that Apple would release four completely new products on September 10th, and if that does happen, it would make for a phenomenal launch event.
The iPad 5 and iPad mini 2 have always been rumored to launch together at one event. So even if they’re not unveiled next month, we’re likely to see both of them being announced at the same time later this year.
