Sharkoon introduces 130MB/sec Flexi-Drive Extreme Duo USB 3.0 thumb drive
Sharkoon has further expanded their line-up of SuperSpeed USB products with their first USB 3.0 thumb drive, the Flexi-Drive Extreme Duo 16GB. The Flexi-Drive is speed-oriented, offering read and write speeds of up to 130MB/sec.
Sharkoon has further expanded their line-up of SuperSpeed USB products with their first USB 3.0 thumb drive, the Flexi-Drive Extreme Duo 16GB. The Flexi-Drive is speed-oriented, offering read and write speeds of up to 130MB/sec.
At 130MB/sec, one can completely fill the 16GB drive in just two minutes. To achieve such transfer rates, Sharkoon used two SLC-based DDR NAND components in dual-channel mode, managed by an integrated USB 3.0 controller. Another highlight of the Flexi-Drive is its long lifespan, as SLC memory is good for up to 100,000 writes per cell.
The Flexi-Drive is housed in elegant black aluminum with transparent protective cap. It has a keychain eyelet, measures 21 x 9 x 68mm and weighs 12.4g. Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS 10 and Linux operating systems are all supported. While the Sharkoon Flexi-Drive Extreme Pro introduced now is a 16GB model, other capacities are currently planned.
