Shuttle launches Haswell powered barebones mini-PC
Shuttle’s SH87R6 mini-PC case supports Intel’s Haswell, PCI-Express x16, dual slot graphics cards and comes with a 300W power supply.
Shuttle has launched its first barebones mini-PC that supports Haswell, the SH87R6.
Here’s a breakdown of some of the features found in the Shuttle’s new barebones mini-PC.
The SH87R6 comes with PCI-E x16 and PCI-E x1 slots. This allows for a single-slot graphics card (up to 267 mm in length) and an expansion card can both be added, or one dual-slot high-end graphics card.
Full-Size and Half-Size Mini-PCIe Slots
Built in is a versatile full size Mini-PCIe slot that also functions as a mSATA port for tiny mSATA-based SSDs.
Flexibility in Storage Options
Four SATA ports with 6 Gbps throughput and space for two 3.5 inch drives and one 5.25 inch (or a maximum of four 2.5 inch drives) means users will have no shortage of storage options.
Up to 32GB of DRAM
The SH87R6 is equipped with four long DIMM memory slots supporting dual-channel DDR3-1600 memory with total capacity up to 32GB.
80 PLUS BRONZE Certified 300W Power Supply
Shuttle SH87R6 is equipped with a 300W power supply with 80 PLUS BRONZE certification that features high efficiency and energy saving.
I.C.E. 2 Cooling Heat Pipe
Shuttle’s proprietary I.C.E. 2 cooling heat pipe modules use capillary suction technology to let water inside the system evaporate and condense, thereby quickly conducting heat to the heat sink to be discharged by the intelligent cooling fan. This ensures that the computer maintains cool and stable performance.
