We managed to get a glimpse the AP121 Air Penetrator fan, looking a little akward and out-of-the-world.

Up close, you’d notice the extra large fan blades, and the ribbings which make this fan look so different.

Given the emphasis on air pressure with this model, we’re sure that this could be the answer to better case intakes. More interesting might be its application on aftermarket heatsinks that pack extra high fin density.

With the 180mm (higher air volume) version, we had a chance to see what Air Penetrator technology was able to do: keep a balloon within the edge of the fan frame even when the fan was tilted. We’re sorry that the photograph does little justice to the ingenuity of this little trick.

Using another 180mm fan of a standard design, the balloon did a confused wobble and plopped onto the table.

Finally, a high pressure fan in a 25mm thick frame that doesn’t tear the house down. We look forward to testing that out.
