Silverstone Fortress FT01 and Raven RV01

Silverstone Fortress FT01 Casing

The Fortress FT01 comes in a typical box.

The casing itself is well protected by the usual dose of styrofoam blocks and plastic wrapping.

Besides the screws and user manual, Silverstone also included in a 4-pin to 3-pin power adapter in case your motherboard lacks a fan header in the right place.

At first glance the styling of the FT01 looks extremely similar to that of the TJ07. One obvious change, however, is the adding of a ventialtion grille at the front of the casing. The TJ07 had intake fans on the side of the casing instead.

To protect the side window from scratches during transport, Silverstone
affixed protective plastic sheeting not only to the outside, but also
the inside, of the window.

The power button is rather small, but otherwise goes quite well with the FT01’s styling.

The front panel USB, Firewire & audio ports are mounted in a recessed portion at the top of the casing.

There is sufficient clearance even for large thumbdrives…

…and it also turns out to be quite useful as a gadget-holder.
