This week, we take a look at some of the latest motherboards available at Sim Lim Square. One of the latest hardware is the ASUS P5E64 WS Evolution workstation-class motherboard.

The theme for ASUS’ latest workstation board seems to be all blue and cool. The retail box is completely blue, so are the parts on the motherboard: Blue heatsinks, blue slots, blue SATA connectors.

The ASUS P5E64 WS Evolution has a well-thought layout. Only DDR3 is supported on this board.

 

 


8-phase PWM, and a heatpipe cooling system to go with it.

 

 


Four PCI Express x16 and one PCI Express x1 slots and two PCI slots, complete with ASUS SASsaby support.

 

 


The common array of ports found on many high-end ASUS boards.

 

 


The G.P. Diagnosis card which is bundled with the P5E64 WS Evolution assists users in system checking.

 

 


ASUS Stack Cool 2 on the underside of the board for effective heat dissipation.
