The R659 chipset starts to be delivered during the fourth quarter of this year, while SIS is also readying a number of other cunning plans, it emerged.
The RDRAM chipset supports hyperthreading, 800MHz buses, four channel memory, AGP8X and the usual rest.
Meanwhile, SIS is already sampling the 656 PCI Express chipset, which will support DDR2/DDR400. In the first quarter of 2004, we will see the 656+GFX, pin compatible with the 656 and which also supports PCI Express.
SIS will also have a PCI Express south bridge available by the first quarter of next year.
