It has only been a week since our report that the Canadian company D-Wave released the first ever quantum computer, the D-Wave One. Today D-Wave confirms the sale of their first computer to Lockheed Martin, the famous aerospace defense contractor.

Smart bombs go quantum

It is currently unknown what Lockheed Martin needs the quantum annealing experts over at D-Wave to develop. Perhaps the D-Wave One could be used to aid the company's online security which, according to Reuters, was breached today and fears that the hackers might have stolen sensitive military data are being expressed.
