Sony Electronics Asia Pacific has announced the Walkman NWZ-B170 Series in Singapore. The new Walkman has a flashy new design and allows music lovers to enhance their audio experience with rich and pumping lows; simply with a press of the BASS Boost button. The built-in lithium-ion battery claims to deliver up to 18 hours of music playback, and the Quick Charge function is capable of providing 90 minutes of music with just a mere three-minute charge. With its sleek and simple USB-dongle design, you just need to plug it to your PC and transfer your songs accordingly; it also recharges the battery at the same time. You can easily search through hundreds of songs with the Sony's ZAPPIN technology. Just click the "ZAP" button once to scan through quick snippets of your library of songs and click it again to play the song. The NWZ-B170 Series also comes with a voice recorder feature and FM tuner with 30 presets for listening in to your favourite radio stations.

Available in Black, Red, Pink, Blue, and Gold, the NWZ-B170 Series comes in 2GB and 4GB capacities and will be available from February 2012 at all Sony stores and authorised outlets. Pricing details will be available closer to launch.
