Recently unveiled at Computex 2013, the much talked about Sony Vaio Pro 11/13 and Duo 13 notebooks will go on sale in the island state from this June.
Update (12/07/13): Prices for the Vaio Duo 13 will start at S$2,499.
First shown off at Computex 2013, Sony has announced that their latest ultra lightweight notebooks will be available in Singapore starting from the end of June with Vaio Pro 13, followed by the Vaio Pro 11 and Duo 13 convertible in mid-july.
Vaio Pro 11/13
Continuing the tradition of its Vaio Z predecessor, the new Vaio Pro ultrabooks boast feather-like hefts of 0.87kg and 1.06kg for the 11-inch and 13-inch models respectively thanks to a carbon fibre body and hexa shell design — which also makes them some of the sexiest machines on the market. The Vaio Pros are also powered by Intel’s latest Haswell processors, delivering significantly improved graphics performance as well as battery life.
Prices for the 11-inch model will start at S$1,899 for the Core i5 model and S$2,399 for the Core i7 variant, while its 13-inch sibling will go for S$1,999 and $2,499 respectively.
Vaio Duo 13
Similar to the Vaio Duo 11 we saw last year, Sony’s latest tablet/notebook hybrid offering allows users to easily switch from a regular notebook form factor to that of a tablet, giving users a more handy computing experience while on the go. The Duo 13 is also equipped with a 8 megapixel rear camera which uses Sony’s “Exmor RS for PC” image sensor that promises text recognition capabilities, among other advantages. In addition, the convertible boasts a class-leading battery life, which should save you the trouble of carrying a charger around when on the move.
Pricing has not been disclosed for the Duo 13 but we will update this page when we have more information, so do check back.
