Sony Computer Entertainment announces new PlayStation 3 and PSP titles for 2011


Earlier today, Sony Computer Entertainment Hong Kong held a media event in Singapore to announce their upcoming PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable (PSP) game titles for 2011. The games that were showcased include DISSIDIA Final Fantasy Chinese/English version, Socom 4 (Asia English vesion), Thor: God of Thunder, Brink and Man vs Wild with Bear Grylls.

The DISSIDIA 012 [duodecim] Final Fantast Chinese/English version is developed from the North America edition, and the main difference is that the voice will be in Japanese while subtitles are in traditional Chinese for event scenes and English for all menus and system messages. Sony Computer Entertainment Hong Kong has collaborated with SQUARE ENIX to launch the bundle pack of PSP DISSIDIA 012 [duodecim] Final Fantasy Chaos & Cosmos Limited which consists of a special edition PSP, software game and tradition arts (selected one from 10 characters randomly in Vol.1 or Vol.2 series). The bundle pack will be available on 10 May at S$344 in pearl white with original "Chaos & Cosmos design, while the game itself is selling at S$39.90.

Socom 4 is a tactical third-person shooter game set in Asia, and is playable with the PlayStation Move controller. The game is scheduled for release on 19 Apr 2011.

If you a fan of Bear Grylls, from Man vs. Wild on the Discovery Channel, you can now try the game on the Sony PlayStation console. You go through each environment or stages and try to meet your in-game objective – from finding food, battling rattlesnakes to building shelters. The game will be in retail from 18 Apr 2011.

Brink is a first-person shooter that offers team-based multiplayer missions which can be played online as well as offline single player mode. If you enjoy such first-person shooting games, Brink is scheduled to be available on 18 May 2011.

Marvel fans are all waiting for the highly anticipated movie, Thor, which is going to be in cinemas here on 28 April this month. Coincidentally, the game is also scheduled to launch on 29 April.
