Sony announced last week that it will confirm which of its devices will make the switch to Android 4.4 KitKat.

Sony has said availability of the firmware will vary by region and carrier, but has mentioned that all eligible devices will eventually be able to make the switch.

Here are the devices that will receive the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware:

  • Xperia Z
  • Xperia Z1
  • Xperia ZL
  • Xperia ZR
  • Xperia T
  • Xperia TX
  • Xperia V
  • Xperia SP
  • Xperia Z Ultra
  • Tablet Z

And these devices will be eligible to make the switch to Android 4.4 KitKat in the near future:

  • Xperia Z
  • Xperia Z1
  • Xperia ZL

  • Xperia Z Ultra

Sony has said that additional devices might be added to the list, but chances of that actually occurring are low. For users left out, there is always CyanogenMod.
