Sony Ericsson 'Evolve, Engage, Excite' Regional Media Launch
Today, Sony Ericsson held a regional media event 'Evolve, Engage, Excite' at Resort World Sentosa in Singapore and unveiled their latest phones including the Xperia X10, X10 mini, X10 mini pro, Vivaz, Vivaz Pro, Elm, Hazel and Aspen.
The Sony Vivaz Pro is the sibling of the Vivaz (which is selling tomorrow at the IT Show 2010), but comes with QWERTY keyboard for ease of typing your messages. It also sports a 3.2-inch touch display that supports 360x640 pixels resolution.
The Vivaz Pro is using Symbian S60 operating system and is easy to use on the whole. From the main menu, you can access the various options including PlayNow, camera, contacts, media and other phone settings.
On the right are the camera (and shutter), camcorder (and record) and zoom controls. According to the maker, the reason why there is a camcorder button is for user to conveniently switch from camera without having to go through the settings onscreen.
The 5.1-megapixel camera with auto focus and flash is at the rear. The Vivaz Pro is also capable of capturing videos at up to 720p.
You can access the camera settings onscreen including the various scene modes, white balance, image size etc.
