Sony has introduced two new additions to their Alpha line of cameras – the Alpha 390 and Alpha 290. Both cameras feature 14.2-megapixel (effective) CCD image sensor with BIONZ image processing engine and are designed for amateur phtographers on the go.

Designed for the amateur photographers, the Sony Alpha 350 and Alpha 250 boast 14.2-megapixel (effective) CCD image sensor, BIONZ image processing engine that can capture superior quality, high resolution images.

The Alpha 390 and 290 are lightweight, compact and stylish that makes them convenient for photographer enthusiasts to carry with them anywhere. Both cameras also offer an ergonomic grip design for ease to hold and use. Buttons are also conveniently laid out for easy operation.

Featuring Sony’s Quick AF Live View, the Alpha 390 provides the speed and accuracy of phase-detection auto-focusing even when using the LCD screen to frame their subjects. With a variable-angle 2.7-inch LCD screen that can be tilted 55-degree downwards and 135-degree upwards, photographers can have more freedom in their shooting angles to frame their shots.

Other features include ISO sensitivityfrom ISO 100 to ISO 3200, SteadyShot INSIDE image stabilization system, as well as a mini HDMI terminal for faster data transfers and smoother playback.
