Sony has launched a brand new line-up for full high-definition Bravia LED TVs, with enhanced image and sound quality, and several new speaker systems for a more cinema-like sound experience.

The W-series and R-series models, unveiled at CES 2013 earlier this year, include a number of technologies for more vibrant, clear displays and deeper bass sounds.

Triluminos technology employs QD Vision's Color IQ1 optical component with Sony's existing display technology for what it claims is a higher gamut of colours on screen. The W-series models include the X-Reality Pro picture engine for improved picture quality.

Sound quality is also being enhanced, thanks to Sony's Signal-to-Sound Architecture. The KDL-W954A featuring an ultra-slim two-way bass reflex speaker and stand-alone tweeter, designed to minimise sound loss and distortion. The KDL-W904A employs an integrated 1.2m speaker duct. The KDL-W804A, KDL-W704A, and KDL-W674A come with a compact bass reflex speaker.

Sony has also included NFC technology as part of a one-touch mirroring function, which can let users wirelessly transmit videos, images or applications from their Miracast-supported smartphones to the TVs with just a single tap of the screen.

The TVs also come with Sony 3D Simulview, which lets users view two different fullscreen images simultaneously, thanks to included glasses (on certain models). This is particularly ideal for multiplayer games, which traditionally require a split screen, significantly reducing the size of the display for each player.

Sony also launched several new 4K and 3D Blu-ray sound systems, BDV-N9100W, BDV-N7100W, and the BDV-E3100, which pack several new technologies, including Magnetic Fluid Speakers, using an advanced ferrofluid material developed by NASA, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Sony Digital Music Enhancer, a slew of Karaoke features, and a new Football Mode to give fans a more immersive experience of the game.

The new TVs and sound systems are available immediately in Singapore at Sony Stores and will be available at other outlets from May.
