vaioE Sony launches VAIO Spring Collection in Singapore

(Singapore, February 4, 2010) – Sony Singapore debuts the vibrant new VAIO E Series 15.5-inch notebooks today, offering consumers a comprehensive Full HD entertainment computing platform with easy-to-use user shortcuts, making it an ideal personal computer for everyday use. 
 
The VAIO E Series comes in three colours – Black, White and Pink – in a glossy vibrant hue. The glossy Pink VAIO E notebooks will have a transparent finish with dynamic and viable dot gradation; whereas the Glossy Black and White VAIO E notebooks will incorporate a sophisticated square gradation – making the VAIO E Series a perfect style statement for users.

Dedicated Full HD solutions for all-day entertainment
Equipped with the latest Intel Core i3 platform, the VAIO E Series boast the latest integrated ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 with 1GB DDR3 dedicated video memory external graphics cards, that enables a smoother and faster processing speed for video playback or gaming.

The VAIO E Series notebooks also feature new high resolution VAIO display which is capable of video playback with resolutions of up to Full HD 1,920 x 1,080. Elevating users’ high-definition audio and visual experience, the top-end model of the VAIO E Series, VPCEB17FG, also features a Blu-ray combo drive. The new notebooks are equipped with Dolby Home Theater software, which offers high quality surround sound for enhanced movie viewing.

VAIO original software including the Media Gallery and the all new PMB VAIO Edition can also be found on the new VAIO E Series 15.5-inch notebooks, allowing users to enjoy and manage their favorite movies and music.

The VAIO E Series notebooks also offer eSATA port, allowing data to be transferred at five times the speed of the USB2.0. Connection to Sony’s BRAVIA HDTV via a HDMI port is also available, thus allowing users to view their HD content on a larger screen easily. It also incorporates a touchpad with multi-gesture functions for users working without a mouse. These functions support three major finger motions: scrolling through pages, moving backwards and forwards on web pages, and zooming in and out. 

The new VAIO E Series notebooks will be available from end February 2010.
