Sony’s hotly anticipated Xperia i1 Honami, with rumored specifications such that they alone can make you climax, will reportedly be launched at a press event scheduled for September 4th.
Sony’s Xperia i1 Honami is a special phone. Honami is being made with one thing in mind, to become the “one phone” for all. Sony hopes to take the Smartphone world by storm with their upcoming flagship Smartphone, and we have good reason to believe that they will, considering previous leaks which have pointed out jaw-dropping (climax inducing) specifications, and leaked renders which show an improved Xperia Z and Z Ultra design, an already refined and beautiful Omnibalance design.
I don’t want to be talking just about specifications in this article. Honami is being crafted by almost every division of Sony, and not just Sony Mobile. The phone project is being looked over by Kaz Hirai, the CEO, as the project is very close to his heart (our sources tell us this).
The leaked press invite reads as:
“you are invited to the IFA 2013 Sony press conference and exciting booth unveiling”
IFA 2013, to be held in Berlin (Germany), kicks off on the 4th of September. Sony will be holding their event between 4:15 to 5:00 pm, more than an hour devoted to unveiling the beautiful new hardware (coming from sources who have seen the hardware) and the new and improved software. Yes, Honami will introduce Sony’s biggest software change in recent times, with a UI building upon the existent. The company will basically fine tune everything good, and introduce new and revamped, rethought and reimagined apps with Honami. Imaging is a special focus, with the camera app receiving most of the focus from the software team. And why shouldn’t it? Honami might be a processing powerhouse, but it is a camera-centric phone in its heart.
Around the same time, Samsung is rumored to reveal their own Galaxy Note III phablet flagship. We hardly think that it will hurt Honami’s chances in the market. The Note III will be a minimum of 5.7-inches diagonal, putting it in a different market segment altogether. Honami is 5-inches of 1080p glory, a Triluminos color display with wider gamut than any traditional LCD display used in phones till date (Xperia Z Ultra has a Triluminos panel). The phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC clocked between 2.1 to 2.3 GHz, 2 GB of RAM (4 GB was scrapped as it was deemed unnecessary, and the required memory chips aren’t available), a 20 MP rear camera (resolution isn’t the key factor here) and a 3000 mAh battery to keep the phone chugging all day long. Our sources are mixed on this, the phone might be anywhere between 8mm to 11mm thick, but we think it will be in the 9mm range. Dimensions of the phone too can be any out of a mixed bag, but in all likelihood, Honami will end up taller than the Xperia ZL while shorter than the current flagship Xperia Z.
We can’t wait to see Honami, it WILL be my next phone. What about you?
