With recent news reports of a new PlayStation phone (or PSP phone as some called it) from Sony Ericsson, there has been no news as to when exactly the phone will be made available. Well, some rumors on the web said that the highly-anticipated phone could retail in April next year.

Sony PSP Phone to retail in April 2011?

The Sony PlayStation phone did not officially arrive on December 9 as planned, though this is a common affair of Sony Ericsson. The new PlayStation phone has confirmed the title "Xperia Play" and it has been said the phone will be launched in February or March next year. However, that usually means that the retail launch will be slightly later, probably round April (at best). The PlayStation phone is likely to be announced at the Mobile World Congress, in Barcelona, and could be officially selling in April with UK being one of the first countries.

Aesthetically, the phone's design resembles that of the PlayStation Portable (PSP) handheld game console, though the game performance is average. However, it should appeal to most users with its preinstalled Google's Android mobile operating system. Sony Ericsson has also unveiled other information including the registered trademarks of "Xperia Neo", "Xperia Duo" and "Xperia Arc". Well, we should get more details about these in time.
