Sony Singapore has announced the Alpha SLT-A57, the successor to the Alpha SLT-A55, which boasts 12fps continuous shooting and Full HD 50p (PAL) recording. The SLT-A57 will be retailing in Singapore next month.
The mid-range Sony Alpha SLT-A55 digital SLR camera has garnered favorable reviews, and today, the company has unveiled its successor, the Alpha SLT-A57 that is built with enhanced features and performance. The Alpha SLT-A57 incorporates Translucent Mirror Technology which directs incoming light to the CMOS image sensor and the AF sensor at the same time, achieving full continuous autofocus during both still and video recording. You capture exactly what you see on screen, with the new high-resolution Tru-Finder which offers a wide viewing angle and 100% field of view; and allows for efficient framing, focusing and real-time preview.
Combined with the 16.1-megapixel Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor and the latest BIONZ engine, the SLT-A57 claims to reproduce superb images with low noise across a wide ISO 100-16,000 range. The digital SLR camera also boasts high-speed 12 frames per second shooting with full-time continuous autofocus (in Tele-zoom Continuous Advance Priority AE mode), and full high definition 50p (PAL) video with full P/A/S/M control. For those of you who are looking to get the Sony Alpha SLT-A57, it will be available in Asia Pacific at all Sony stores and authorised outlets from April 2012.
