Today, Sony Singapore introduced their new VPL-VW90ES 3D home theatre projector, designed to offer superb 3D cinematic visual experience at the comfort of your living room. VR-Zone brings you the coverage.
Tsuyoshi Nagata, general manager for presentation display, business & professional products APAC (BPPA), Sony Electronics Asia Pacific, gave an opening speech and talked about the company bringing the world’s first 3D projector to the home users.
“Our cinema-grade projector uses Sony SXRD panel, which is also being incorporated on our 3D home theatre projectors. With 40 years of experience and many milestone in projection technology today, Sony has a strong and comprehensive lineup of LCD and SXRD digital projection products for every application. Whether it is used in cinemas, offices, concerts, schools and home, Sony has the projector for customers based on their needs,” Nagata said.
Lawrence Tang, product marketing manager, presentation display, VPM Division, Business & Professional products Asia Pacific company, Sony Electronics Asia Pacific, talked about the new VPL-VW90ES 3D home theatre projector and its features.
The VPL-VW90ES 3D home theatre projector features 1,000 ANSI lumens brightness, 150,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and can display 2D videos and simulating them to 3D images.
Besides the VPL-VW90ES 3D home theatre projector, there was also a Sony projection display of three projectors projecting a three-screen wide video. Unfortunately, the product isn’t commercialized and only available in Japan.
