According to reports, Sony will shortly introduce a new Xperia to their 2013 family. Dubbed the Xperia ZR, this newcomer will have the same water and dust resistant capabilties as the flagship Xperia Z.
Sony's upcoming Xperia ZR will be a dust and water resistant smartphone much like the Xperia Z. This will be Sony's second smartphone for 2013 which will come certified with IP55 / IP58 rating which is actually higher than the IP55 / IP57 rating of the flagship Xperia Z. You can drop the Xperia ZR underwater up to a depth of 1.5 meters for a full 30 minutes.
