Sony has always been a pioneer in the realm of home entertainment, and this industry leader that has led the popularisation of HDR, into both its audio and visual products to bring about more true to life entertainment has launched its AE1s Series at CES 2017, which is Sony’s First Line of 4K BRAVIA® OLED TVs.
What the latest A1E series of BRAVIA OLED TV does it combine the best of Sony’s unique picture quality technology, which includes the 4K HDR processor X1™ Extreme that is also found in the flagship Z9D series. The X1 Extreme processor further accentuates the aesthetic appeal of 4K HDR content. It draws upon the full potential of self-emitting OLED panels. In so doing, the production of deep blacks and brights can be reproduced with greater fidelity when compared to real world visual images.
In the audio department, the A1E series televisions also come equipped with Sony’s unique Acoustic Surface™ technology. The television has vibrating displays which allow for sound to be directly resonated from the screen of the television. As such, it removes the need for speakers to be placed around the edge of the screen, as you would find in conventional speakers. Thus, the TVs in this series is capable of attaining a “speaker-less and stand-less form factor”.
Sony claims that since sound is emitted from the screen, both audio and visual have now become one. This helps enhance the reality of the visual images and video you view in front of you and it enables a more pleasant and perhaps optimal viewing experience whether you are seated directly in front of the TV or watching it from an angle.
