Sony Vaio Z To Storm Europe With Quad SSD, Hybrid Graphics

Sony Europe have announced Vaio Z is on its way and will be made available on March 2010.

VAIO Z series is its latest ultra-mobile notebook computers from Sony in ultimate travel companion.

Sony Europe have announced Vaio Z is on its way and will be made available on March 2010.

VAIO Z series is its latest ultra-mobile notebook computers from Sony in ultimate travel companion.

The biggest highlight is notably the Quad SSD in RAID 0 configuration (up to 256GB total capacity). That’s right, a rather interesting Sony innovation that writes data in parallel to four SSDs.

Sony will be equipping the Vaio Z series with Core I7-M processors, up to 6GB DDR3 RAM and a hybrid graphics solution that allows the user to switch or automatically select between an integrated Nvidia GeForce GT330M graphics (with 1GB VRAM) and Intel’s HD graphics. All this powering a LED backlit display that has a native full HD resolution (1920×1080) or 1600×900 in a lower end model.

Other features include a 3G mobile addon, Wi-Fi 802.11n, HDMI out, Motion Eye Camera and the lovely laptops will come pre-installed with 64bit Windows 7 Professional.
