Sony has horrible luck when it comes to keeping details on upcoming devices under wraps, and things aren’t getting any better as its upcoming flagship has starred in yet another crystal clear leak.
The Xperia Z3 has been captured in live images repeatedly in the last few weeks, telling us almost everything about how the phone will look from the outside. Today, we’re getting an alleged look at its entrails, thanks to photos that show its internal components in all their glory.
The pictures don’t exactly show any useful details, except one – they reveal that the phone will sport a 3,100 mAh battery. However, considering the Xperia Z2 sported a 3,200 mAh battery, it’s possible the pictures don’t show a final unit of the device, or that Sony has optimized battery life enough to not need as big a battery as before.
Either way, it won’t be long before we get official confirmation on every spec of the Xperia Z3. The phone is expected to feature most of the same hardware as the Xperia Z2 (a Full HD display, Snapdragon 801 CPU, 20.7-megapixel camera, etc.), but with a more streamlined design. Like existing Xperia Z flagships, Sony will be announcing the Xperia Z3 at IFA in Berlin in September, possibly alongside the Xperia Z3 Compact.
