Here are the first screenshots of the Sony Xperia ZU Togari phablet UI, running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean
Check out the first screenshots of Sony’s upcoming 6.44-inch monster-turned-phablet, the Xperia ZU (name still not finalized) Togari.
Our first observations are a cleaner UI, somewhat subtle looks, and then the rest remains the same. Of course, you’ll be getting all the new Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean goodies (notification toggles, lockscreen widgets, etc.) but we don’t really think Sony has added many features from its own side. Of course, phablet optimized versions of the Sony apps are a possibility, but we can’t say for sure until the tablet is launched. Thankfully, that day isn’t too far off (June 25th, as per reports).
Here’s what a forum member had to say about the Togari phablet:
It’s gigantic, you can forget about one-handed operation with this thing.
As a quick reminder, the Xperia ZU packs a Snapdragon 800 SoC, 6.44-inch 1080p display, 2 GB RAM, 3000 mAh battery and comes with the latest Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS.
