It’s not the first, it’s not the cheapest, but it has to be the best is Sony’s new slogan for their upcoming gaming console (PlayStation 4).  Jack Trenton, CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America emphasizes the price of the Sony’s gaming console entails more quality than quantity.

"We've never been first. We've never been cheapest.  It's about being the best. If you can build a better machine, and it's going to come out a little bit later, that's better than rushing something to market that's going to run out of gas for the long term,” says Trenton at 2012’s E3 press conference.

The PlayStation 3 had a rough beginning, and wasn’t able to pull in profit until two years ago.  Microsoft’s Xbox and Nintendo’s Wii chipped away at Sony’s flagship console, but even so, Trenton insists that a quality product will always obtain more customer loyalty in the end.

"Ideally, in a perfect world, you want the best machine that ships first, that's cheapest. But the number one goal is to be the best machine, and that's what we're always focused on," he proclaimed.

Sony’s new console is rumored to be code named “PlayStation Orbis,” and is expected to be released sometime in 2013.  Some gossips have also gone as far as to speculate that developers are already in the process of making video games for Sony’s new console.
