Sparkle Enters Tablet Business; Unveils Calibre X-Pad

Reported by on Wednesday, June 1 2011 6:55 pm

Sparkle is probably the first graphics card maker to enter the tablet business and has officially revealed their Calibre X-Pad at COMPUTEX 2011. Although, making tablets and making graphics cards are completely a different business altogether but they have a common supplier, which is, none other than NVIDIA. This 10.1-inch tablet is powered by NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor on Android Honeycomb and has a 5M rear and 2M front camera. Sparkle plans to roll the Calibre X-Pad out in the next few months so it would be interesting how this would turn out for them. One thing for sure : They gonna get very good support from NVIDIA which is clearly important for any development.
