Square Enix has recently released a brand new trailer for the upcoming HD release of FInal Fantasy X and its X-2 sequel, both of which will be making their way to the PS3 and PS Vita this year.

Square Enix has just released the debut trailer for the highly anticipated HD version of Final Fantasy X, and has also formally announced that both FFX and its sequel FFX-2 are coming this year to the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita.

"Listen to my story. This…may be our last chance."

The trailer gives a one-minute look at the crisp and crystal clear quality featured in both of the re-mastered titles, allowing gamers a short but sweet look at the impressive graphical enhancements that bring the two PS2 favorites to the current generation of HD visuals.

Both titles are officially labeled Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster and offer players to revisit their fond memories of one of the most popular PlayStation 2 games.

The HD remakes feature the original games in their entirety, including all of the signature characters (like Tidus, Yuna, Wakka and Auron), innovative turn-based J-RPG game mechanics (remember that awesome skill tree?), and the amazing cinematic scenes and unforgettable story arc.

Oh, and who could forget one of the most entertaining mini-games in the franchise's history? I'm talking about Blitzball, of course–that bizarre aquatic sport in which Tidus and Wakka are well-versed.

The games will be released onto the PlayStation 3 as a combo back that features both Final Fantasy X and its sequel Final Fantasy X-2 in the same box, whereas the games will be sold individually for the PlayStation Vita.

Both versions are slated to release in 2013, and we'll have more coverage when an official release date is announced.
