Super Talent SuperSpeed USB 3.0 RAIDDrive

Super Talent has unveiled the new SuperSpeed USB 3.0 RAIDDrive, the world’s first USB 3.0 flash drive. Measuring 95 x 37 x13mm, the compact SuperSpeed drive reportedly supports transfer speeds of up to 10 times faster than conventional USB 2.0 flash drives and is fully backward compatible with USB 2.0 ports (at a much slower speed).

Available in 32Gb, 64Gb and 128Gb capacities, the highly portable SuperSpeed drive plugs directly into any USB ports and is capable of delivering transfer speeds of up to 200MB/sec (USB 3.0 ports). Super Talent has claimed transfer speeds of up to 320MB/sec is possible if a separate UAS Protocol driver for the USB 3.0 port is applied. Pricing has not been announced yet but it will be available through Super Talent resellers worldwide in mid December.

“The USB 3.0 RAIDDrive uses patented “multiple pairs of differential serial data lines technology” for optimal NAND flash performance. “This product underscores Super Talent’s continued leadership in USB drives.” said Super Talent COO, C.H. Lee. “We’ve developed the world’s first mobile USB 3.0 flash drive. It delivers phenomenal performance and it incorporates our own patented technology”.”
