Do you know how Samsung seems to dominate Android smartphone sales globally for what’s starting to feel like an eternity? And how OEMs like HTC or Sony can’t even touch them? Well, there is one major market where the status quo is significantly different – Japan.
HTC may unveil the successor to the Droid DNA/Butterfly on June 19th. While the Desire 600 has already been announced, a report suggests that HTC will launch the handset on the aforementioned date. The HTC Butterfly (Droid DNA for Verizon) was one of the first phones with a 1080p display, and HTC’s first 5-inch phablet.
According to a financial analyst, HTC has at least three big smartphone launches planned for the next few months, with the M4 leading the way, Butterfly 2 following closely and One phablet wrapping it all up with a nice bow.
