Let the flexible games begin. It’s what we’ve wanted so badly to proclaim for so long and at last we’re in a position to actually hope the first curved smartphone or smartphones are forthcoming.
LG announced its latest device in the Vu series, the Vu 3. The device features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 and a 5.2-inch 720p display.
It’s been a long time since we first heard rumors of smartphones with flexible displays being in the works, numerous prototypes and pre-release models have been demoed and showcased at tech events in the last year or so, but a bendable commercially ready product still seems a thing of the future.
Show of hands, who here has ever heard of the LG Optimus Vu 2? How about the first-gen device? Maybe the LG Intuition? No one? Didn’t think so. And yet a Vu 3 is reportedly in the works and due to be made official come next month’s IFA tech expo.
