The 2014 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) has started early for Samsung, as it did for LG, ZTE and Acer, with the Galaxy Camera 2 precociously unveiled and at least one piece of wearable technology subtly teased on the company’s “Tomorrow” blog.
Any eccentric oil barons with a thing for photography out there? How about folks that haven’t had to worry about making ends meet in their lives? Recent lotto winners? Rock stars? Talk show hosts?
Android-powered smart cameras have been seen as devices of the future for as long as I can remember, but so far Samsung has essentially been the only big manufacturer to make real efforts towards creating a market out of this concept.
Since the Galaxy S4 Mini, Active and Zoom have all been made official, Samsung’s June 20 London “Premiere” event becomes that much more interesting. It’s nearly impossible to predict what new gadgets Sammy might have up its sleeve, but the best guess right now is a Galaxy Camera 2.
