Target giving gift cards with every purchase of iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Apple TV

It has been discovered that Target, one of the biggest retailers based in the U.S., has started to give away gift cards on every purchase of an iOS device or Apple TV. The gift cards are being offered through both in-store and online mediums.

What this means is that customers can effectively pick an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or Apple TV at a discount. If they want to use the gift card towards some other purchase, that can be done as well. The latest Retina Display touting 16GB Wi-Fi iPad, which sells for $499, is being offered by Target with a $50 gift card. A $40 gift card accompanies the base 16GB Wi-Fi iPad mini model which costs $329.99.

Gift cards are also being offered with other models such as Wi-Fi + Cellular, even the iPad 2 is being sold with a gift card. The $229 16GB fifth generation iPod touch comes with a $20 gift card whereas the $99 Apple TV comes with a $10 card. A new iPhone 5 with two year contract from either AT&T, Sprint or Verizon will cost customers $149.99 and will be accompanied by a $25 gift card. Customers can increase the value of this card if they trade in an old device.

There seems to be a slight caveat though. Not all Target retail locations reportedly offer all of these deals, for example one location is only offering this promotion on iPad, iPad mini and iPod touch. So its best to check with your local Target to see which promotion it is offering.
