The co-president of Naughty Dog has posted a picture on Instagram that shows that development for the game has completed. This news is sure to make the wait for anxious PS3 gamers even harder, but at least it's assuring.
A picture on an instagram uploaded by the co-president of Naughty Dog seems to indicate that the company has officially completed development of The Last of Us for the PS3. The hotly anticipated title seems ready to meet its release date on June 14. As if E3 wasn’t enough for gamers, this will be yet another thing to look forward to during that week. The image uploaded can be seen below.
For those anxious to get their hands on it as soon as possible, if you bought God of War Ascension, then you may have noticed that it came with a code for a playable demo of The Last of Us. This demo is set to go live in about two weeks on May 31.
With the release date creeping closer, they don’t seem to be offering very many details other than what we’ve seen in the gameplay demos shown at various events. They do claim that the single player mode will last about 12-16 hours, which would actually make it one of their longer games this generation. They have also been hyping up the multiplayer quite a bit with the lead artist for Naughty Dog claiming that is the best multiplayer ever conceived. Of course it makes sense that he would say something like that about his own game, but those are big words. The MP mode continues to remain mostly mysterious, but we hope to find out more details in the near future.
