Two iMacs, three iPads, an Apple TV, a Sodastream, a $30,000 Tiffany platinum necklace, a $28,000 Tiffany diamond necklace, and a wallet containing $1 was stolen from a home in Palo Alto, California.  If this is just any other home, it might have not made it into the San Jose Mercury, but it’s the late Steve Jobs’ home.

Kariem McFarlen, the culprit, has been arrested and charged with burglary and will remain in jail until someone can pay the $500,000 bail.  McFarlen could face up to seven years and eight months in prison, and maybe an extra year for “excessive” property theft.

Laurene Powell, Job’s widow, and their children were reportedly living elsewhere temporarily due to ongoing renovation of the property.

How the thief managed to sell a used Sodastream is a mystery, and hopefully he wasn’t dumb enough to advertise Job’s wallet as “Steve Jobs' Wallet” on Craigslist.
