This latest Samsung Android smartphone is truly a Gem

Like what its name imply, the Samsung Gem has unique pentagon-designed buttons below the display, with the middle button resembling the shape of Superman's logo. The same pentagon (or diamod) shape can also be seen at the rear of the phone where the built-in 3.2-megapixel camera is located.

The smartphone is equipped with 800MHz processor, 1GB memory, microSD card slot and preloaded with Google's Android 2.1 mobile operating system. According to news sources, the Samsung Gem will also incorporate an anti-scratch and anti-fingerprint touchscreen display. While the pricing has not been revealed, it was said to be competitive and Verizon Wireless may even offer the smartphone for free through a new phone contract.
