Toshiba Announces New Notebook PCs in Singapore

Toshiba Computer Systems Division (CSD), a division of Toshiba Singapore, today announced three new additions to its Portege and Satellite line - Portege M900 (Signature series), Satellite L510 and Satellite M500 (Premier series).

Tay Choon Song, Manager for e-Business S.E. Asia & Indian Subcontinent Computer Systems Division, Toshiba Singapore gave the opening speech and mentioned the company being in the notebook business for 25 years since 1985. And the new notebook PCs that are announced today are stylishly-designed, yet eco-friendly.

The Toshiba Satellite L510 sports a glossy metallic gray finish, 14-inch high definition LED backlit display, and comes equipped with either Intel® Pentium® Dual-Core or Core™2 Duo CPU configuration for user. Both Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD and ATI® Mobility Radeon™ HD 4530 (ext 256MB VRAM) GPUs are also available.

The Toshiba PORTÉGÉ M900 is part of the new Signature Series that offers a balance of size, weight and performance in a stylish and eye-catching textured finish. Powered by Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor P8700 (2.53GHz, 3MB L2 Cache, 1066MHz FSB) and 2048MB system memory, the M900 is capable of tackling almost any computing tasks.

Toshiba also introduced their latest Satellite M500 of the new Premier series which is designed to handle today’s demanding multimedia and entertainment tasks. It features a black chassis with and "Sonic Boom" design, 14-inch high definition LED backlit display and high-end Harman Kardon® stereo speakers to provide users with superb multimedia experience. The M500 also comes equipped With an advanced Hybrid SSD (Solid State Drive) / HDD (Hard Disk Drive) system for optimal storage performance.

- The Toshiba Satellite L510 series will retail from SGD1299;  the Satellite M500 series from SGD1999; and Portege M900 series has a retail price from SGD1699. All three series will be available before July.
