Toshiba launches Satellite U840, company’s first 14-inch Ultrabook

Toshiba Singapore has announced their latest 14-inch Ultrabook, U840 which is not just stylish, but also offers good computing performance and weighs a portable 1.59kg.

Toshiba Singapore has announced their new Satellite U840, which claims to be the company's first 14-inch Ultrabook. It measures 19.9mm thin with a weight starting from 1.59kg, and is equipped with the latest second generation Intel Core processors for Ultrabook, fast DDR3 memory and offers improved power management for long battery life. The U840 sports a metallic silver finish with brushed aluminum chassis which not only looks sleek, but also provides good durability to knocks and bumps. Comes in 128GB solid state drive (SSD) or Hybrid HDD with 16GB SSD, the Ultrabook can power on in seconds with Toshiba's new proprietary Hi-Speed Start technology. It features a 14-inch high definition display and powerful speakers with SRS Premium Sound 3D technology for great multimedia experience. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wireless LAN, and full-size ports such as HDMI and three USB ports, one of which is a USB 3.0 port. With Toshiba's USB Sleep and Charge technology, you can charge your smartphones even when the system is powered down.

The Toshiba Satellite U840 will be available at @shopToshiba and major authorised reseller outlets in Q1 this year, retailing from S$1,399, depending on configurations.
