Toshiba Singapore launches PORTEGE Z830 Ultrabook, Qosmio DX730 AIO and REGZA tablets
Toshiba Singapore has launched their new PORTEGE Z830 Ultrabook, which claims to be the world’s lightest and thinnest 13.3-Inch Ultrabook that weighs a mere 1.12kg. In addition to the slim ultra-portable notebook, the company also unveiled their new Qosmio DX730 All-in-One and REGZA AT100 and AT1S0 Android tablets.
Toshiba PORTÉGÉ Z830
Toshiba has unveiled their PORTÉGÉ Z830 Ultrabook series that boasts a mere 1.12kg and measures only 15.9mm thin. It claims to be about 20 percent lighter and 40 percent thinner than their award-winning ultraportable PORTÉGÉ R830 series. The PORTÉGÉ Z830 series are powered by second generation Intel Core processors (Core i5 and Core i7 variants) with DDR3 memory, which provide the performance necessary for work and entertainment, as well as having improved power management for long battery life. Despite having such slim form factor, the PORTÉGÉ Z830 does not compromise on connectivity; it features Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity plus a selection of full-size ports including VGA, HDMI and USB ports, one of which is a USB 3.0 port.
The Toshiba PORTÉGÉ Z830 will retail from 24 November, which is also the start of SITEX Show 2011, at S$1,999 for the Intel Core i5 model and S$2,599 for the Intel Core i7 model.
Toshiba REGZA AT1S0 and REGZA AT100
Toshiba Singapore Digital Products and Services Group has launched the company’s first Android-powered tablets, REGZA AT1S0 and REGZA AT100. The AT100 (above pic) offers a 10.1-inch diagonal LED display while the AT1S0 offers a 7-inch diagonal display, though both support 1280×800 pixel resolution in 16:10 aspect ratio.
Preloaded with Android 3.1 Honeycomb, the AT100 is powered by Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor and comes with 1GB DDR2 RAM and internal memory of up to 32GB. It has a 5-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front cameras, USB2.0, mini USB, HDMI out, SD card reader and a docking port. Other features include Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n), Bluetooth, HSPA+ (3.5G), GPS, 3D Accelerometer, gyrometer, electronics compass and ambient light sensor.
The AT1S0 runs Android 3.2 Honeycomb and incorporates similar features of its AT100 sibling – Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor, 1GB DDR2 RAM, internal memory of up to 16GB, 5-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front cameras, mini-USB, micro-HDMI, micro-SD and docking port.
The 7-inch AT1S0 will come with a price tag of S$799, while for those who prefer a larger display can opt for the AT100 which will retail at S$699. Yes, the 10.1-inch tablet is S$100 cheaper than the 7-inch. And both REGZA tablets should be available at the SITEX Show 2011.
Toshiba Qosmio DX730
The Toshiba Qosmio DX730 is an all-in-one desktop PC that boasts premium audio, video and computing performance. Available in Precious Black or Luxe White variations, the all-in-one PC features a large 23-inch Full high definition multi-touch display and comes with matching wireless keyboard with 10-key numeric keypad and matching wireless mouse. With the HDMI-in port, users can connect to a game console and enjoy the latest games on the PC via its bright and responsive display.
The Qosmio DX730 is equipped with second generation Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processor, up to 16GB DDR3 memory, up to 2TB hard drive, one USB 3.0 port with USB Sleep and Charge, one USB 3.0 port and four USB 2.0 ports. The all-in-one PC also includes a built-in DVD SuperMulti or Blu-Ray ROM drive. Scheduled to retail at the SITEX Show 2011, the Toshiba Qosmio DX730 is an all-in-one desktop PC will have a price tag of S$1,549 for the Intel Core i5 (black only) model and S$1,999 for the Intel Core i7 (white only) model.
