It is coming from Sony for sure as Mike Abary, Sony's Senior Vice Director from Information Technology Products Division is serious about making a Touchscreen VAIO, although it will not happen that soon.

In an interview with Laptopmag, some highlights were given

  • Touchscreen VAIO will take full advantage of Windows 7 this fall.
  • VAIO team is working with the PlayStation Network to deliver movies and TV shows to notebooks and netbooks. In the States, the delivery of movies and TV shows are a reality now on Playstation 3.
  • Casual gaming may be coupled with the Playstation Network for the VAIO
  • Sony is also looking at bringing its Sony Reader eBook experience to VAIOs
Hyped up? Lets hope Sony makes it a reality and this might mean more for the Playstation Network, giving it a redefinition of what it stands for.
