Thanks to some epic CG and sizzling actresses, the Transformers movies have become global hits and the next installment to the giant-robo-bashing franchise may come in the form of dinos in addition to cars.
The next Transformers movie will be dubbed as “Age of Extinction”, which hints at dinosaurs taking up the role as ‘robots in disguise.’ Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura recently also made a statement which confirmed people’s theory that the next transformer movies will have Dinobots.
“I cannot disclose the specifics, but you can be sure that the arrival of the Dinobots will give the audience a lot to be excited about,” said di Bonaventura.
Fans of Shia LaBeouf will have to settle for Mark Wahlberg as the star of the previous Transformers will not be featured in Age of Extinction. Fret not if you’re concerned about director-actor chemistry, however, as Wahlberg and Michael Bay are quite familiar with each other through previous work.
As for cars, di Bonaventura also made it clear that the film will not leave out the thing that started it all.
“The world’s coolest, most exciting cars will appear in the film, including Chinese vehicles, so whether you are a car enthusiast or not, it will be a feast for the eyes,” he said.
Transformers: Age of Extinction is expected to hit theaters worldwide come June 27, 2014.
