Turtle Beach has announced in an official press release that they will be creating a new line of headsets for the Xbox One. Official products and prices should be revealed in the coming weeks.
Turtle Beach, one of the more popular companies which specializes in videogame peripherals, namely headsets, has confirmed that it will be providing a new line of headsets for the Xbox One. Though it was expected that they’d eventually move on to creating products for next generation consoles, they didn’t waste any time in making it official.
Branden Powell, the director of Strategic Alliances Xbox Hardware Group (that’s a mouthful) is quoted in the press release as saying:
"In Turtle Beach we have a partner that can help Microsoft deliver world class gaming audio experiences to our customers."
He continued on to say that "Turtle Beach has consistently innovated in wireless, surround sound, and other features and we are looking forward to working with them."
This is definitely a notable relationship considering Turtle Beach is the predominant provider of gaming headsets for both consoles and even mobile devices. The press release mentions that they own more than 50% of the market share in this category, and they are taking a lot of the credit for the growth of the market as a whole.
As for availability and pricing of any upcoming products, they promise that pricing and release information will be revealed in the coming weeks.
